Programs:
ZBrush - sculpting and retopology
Substance Painter - texturing
Blender - lighting, rendering, shader/material assembly/creation
Adobe Photoshop - color editing, general edits
This render was done for a friends album cover.  A crocodile is his artist symbol/icon, so I made sure to keep it reptilian and ominous, since that is the feeling I get when thinking about crocodiles.  I strayed somewhat from reality here, as seen with the eyes (especially the third one), but I still took inspiration from crocodiles, alligators, caymans, and other sources (moodboard below).
High Poly Sculpt in ZBrush
Retopologized Mesh and UV Unwrap
Retopologized using ZBrush to save time and keep detail for render.  Unwrap was done in Blender.
Workspace Images
These images show the light and reflection probe setup.  There are lights in front of each eye, the nose, from the back of the sculpt, from underneath, from the middle eye to the bridge of the nose, top-down to the forehead, and a sun light to illuminate everything evenly.
